About:

I've been working independently for over a year now and I really like the fact that I can limit my interactions with fellow programmers to only those that I actually get along with. For those who don't program: programming is about thinking, so when programmers are trying to see who the "alpha geek" is, they attack each others' thinking. The winner may or may not be the best programmer, but is generally the most abrasive person in the group. It's great to be able to interact with the best and brightest, while filtering out the abrasive.
